Tuesday evening April 16, 2013 Koshland garden members came together to swap seeds, show off their plots, ask questions and enjoy snacks and refreshments. Nora Brereton, Director of Programs for CommunityGrows, offered information about bugs and pests and how to take care of plantings. She shared a story about the youth from John Muir School who use the garden during the day and after-school. Walking through the garden the youth spotting a bed of beautiful flowering tulips, jonquils and daffodils and wondered if they could eat them. Come by and see the garden and all the vegetable, flowers and fruit trees in bloom. The garden is in the lower part of the Daniel E. Koshland Park Community Park, which is also home to the Western Addition Peace Wall.
