On Saturday, April 19th a group of 30+ walking enthusiasts from Walk San Francisco came to Koshland Park to view and hear the story about the Western Addition Peace Wall and visit the Learning Garden. Walk San Francisco is San Francisco’s pedestrian advocacy group. Walk SF and its members are making San Francisco a more livable, walkable city and reclaiming our streets as shared public space for everyone to enjoy.
They met Barbara Wenger, Executive Director of CommunityGrows, who gave them a brief history of the Peace Wall, Koshland Park and the neighborhood and then lead them on a tour of the Koshland Park Community Learning Garden. Barbara also told them about the programs at CommunityGrows and answered questions. Then they were on their way to other sites througout the neighborhood.
